María Elena Swett Urquieta is a Chilean actress.[1] She was born in Santiago on April 11, 1979. Formally married to the Chilean actor Felipe Braun.[2] She is also known as "Mane" by friends and family. She studied at Colegio Nuestra Señora del Pilar and later at the Academia de Humanidades de Recoleta. Finally, she studied theater at the DUOC. She started her career at the Chilean channel Canal 13, but moved to TVN in 2008.[3] She got notable success with her role of Fernanda in the telenovela called Machos. She is currently working in the soap opera named Hijos del Monte. The day November 7, 2011 According to celebrity programs and Chilean television show, Maria Elena Swett be pregnant, the actress is six weeks pregnant with her current partner, American author John Bowe. It has also been confirmed by her best friend Hector Morales in the newspaper "Las Ultimas Noticias" and fellow acquaintances of the TV series "Aqui Mando Yo."
